The challenge
The market was crowded: every prospect had multiple IT and cybersecurity suppliers competing for the same attention, so more traffic was never the answer. The business needed more qualified sales conversations, which meant fixing two constraints at once, generating more booked opportunities, and making sure those bookings actually progressed into completed conversations. Without both, lead generation would never turn into pipeline.
What we did
- Measured the acquisition system on the metrics closest to revenue, created events, completed events, appointment volume, completion rate and sales opportunities, instead of impressions, CTR, traffic and engagement.
- Aligned campaign messaging to the commercial problems buyers were already living with: cybersecurity risk, IT downtime, compliance, productivity, infrastructure management, support quality and technology reliability.
- Tightened the journey from campaign to landing page to conversion to booking, removing friction and making the next action obvious at every stage.
- Made sales opportunities created the primary acquisition KPI, then treated completed events as a separate KPI so attendance was optimised, not assumed.
The results
- 2,148 events completed in 30 days, up 1,040 and +375.6%.
- 2,688 events created, up 1,172 and +309.2% versus the prior 30 days.
- Completion rate of roughly 79.9%, about four in five created opportunities turning into a real conversation.
- Marketing became accountable for the whole chain: demand, conversion, booking, completion, sales.
- Substantially more trust building conversations for sales to build pipeline from.
